When ordering a custom picture frame and mount on our website, your Order Review shows every detail of your design. This beautifully clear guide explains each line in simple terms — so you can double-check everything with confidence before confirming.
Shows the width of the frame’s front face, its main colour(s), and finish (e.g. matte, gloss, or natural wood).
The internal dimensions at the back — this is the space that holds your glass, artwork, and backing board.
Appears only when ordering a digital print + frame. Shows the exact size of your printed photo or artwork.
The overall size of the mount board. Shown only if you’re ordering a mount without a frame.
The opening (aperture) in the mount. “To Take” includes a 3 mm overlap on each side for secure fitting; “Exact” means the opening matches your image precisely.

The colour of the visible top layer of the mount. Oval apertures are noted here too.
The width of the four borders (top, bottom, left, right) around the top mount.
If added, shows the size and placement of your caption or title area below the image.
The colour of the underlying layer (visible at the bevelled edge).
How much of the bottom mount shows around the top mount (the “reveal”).
Your front cover — e.g. Standard Glass, Acrylic, or UV-Protective.
Every frame includes an MDF backing board and hanging fixtures (cord or D-rings).
Any extra coloured backing boards added behind the standard MDF.
For prints — e.g. Gloss, Matte, or Fine Art Cotton.
If you changed a colour image to Black & White or Sepia, it’s listed here.
Optional add-ons — e.g. gift wrap, express delivery, or engraved plaque.
