How To... Measure A Stretched Canvas

1. Check each diagonal to ensure the canvas is square or rectangular. If there is a notable discrepancy in the diagonal measurements, it may indicate that the canvas is distorted, which can lead to complications when trying to fit it into a square or rectangular frame.
2. Measure the width and height at three different points. Record the largest measurement for both width and height.
3. Measure and note down the depth of the canvas. This measurement is particularly crucial when ordering canvas floater frames, as you will need to choose a frame with an internal depth that closely matches the depth of your canvas.

TIPS: Always use a metal tape measure and make sure you measure twice.
