How To.. Order A Picture Mount

Demonstration Video

Picture or Photo Mounts are the coloured boards that surround your artwork before it is inserted into the frame. Ordering mounts on our website is simple, as we offer a wide range of options to meet the needs of most of our customers.
Simple Size - 0:06
  • The "Simple Size" option lets you specify both the internal(image) and external dimensions you need. The internal size usually corresponds to the dimensions of the image you're mounting, while the external size is the frame's dimensions that the mount will fit into.
  • The aperture will be positioned centrally in the mount.
  • You can select the double mount option if you want two mount layers.
  • By default, the mount aperture will extend 3mm on each side of the size you specify. This ensures that the artwork doesn't fall through the aperture. However, if you've already accounted for an overlap or don't require one, you can choose the "Exact Size" option. In this case, the aperture will be cut to match the exact dimensions you've entered.
  • You can opt to have the aperture cut in a circle/oval shape by selecting the Oval option.
  • The "Title Box" option will introduce an additional aperture beneath the primary aperture, allowing for the display of printed text that is relevant to the main image.
Remember, Measure Twice And Be Precise
Advanced Size - 0:41
  • The "Advanced Size" option allows you to specify the desired image size and the width of each border individually. Our website calculates the external size based on the image size and border widths you enter.
  • As you enter the border widths individually, you have more control over the position of the aperture.
  • You can select the double mount option if you want two mount layers.
