Inset Frames are designed to house artwork that has been painted on to board. Normally the artwork is finished in oil or acrylic and painted directly on a 3mm(approx) artist board. When framed, the edges of the artist board will be visible so none of the artwork is hidden behind a rebate or mount.
We recommend entering the exact board size of your artwork, and the frame will be manufactured a few millimetres larger to allow for a small amount of movement.
These frames will be supplied with velcro strips that can be used to secure the board in the frame. To add further security, you may want to glue the board into the frame to avoid it falling out.
Inset Frames are supplied without any glazing or backing board.
Inset Frames are NOT suitable for stretched canvasses or any paper based artwork..
